Materials and Safety

"What makes your baby clothes organic?"

All of our clothing products are made from 100% organic cotton that is GOTS certified.

"What does GOTS certification mean?"

  • GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard, and it is the highest level of textile certification.
  • GOTS certification covers the entire supply chain of organic textiles, from the harvesting of raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing.
  • This includes processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading, and distribution.

"Are your dyes safe for babies?"

We also only use GOTS-certified dyes, trims, and snaps/zippers that are lead-free, chrome-free, and nickel-free.

"Do your clothes contain any harmful chemicals or flame retardants?"

We do not treat our clothing with any chemical flame retardants. Instead, the luxurious weight of our breathable cotton makes our daywear naturally flame retardant to meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) standards.

"Where are your clothes manufactured?"

Our cotton is sourced in India, where our products are ethically made in GOTS-certified factories that are regularly monitored not only for their organic production processes, but also for their ethical and fair treatment of all workers.

Sizing and Fit

"How do I determine the correct size for my baby?"

Our clothing is true to weight and is designed to be form-fitting and tailored to the body. Please refer to our sizing chart: Size – Tiny Toes Treasures

"Do your clothes shrink after washing?"

Since cotton shrinks after the first machine wash/dry, we account for this shrinkage by cutting our baby clothing slightly long, so that it shrinks down to its intended fit.
